As a former elementary school teacher turned Community Schools Coach, Alessandra has spent her career championing educational equity and fostering meaningful connections between students, families, and communities. Her journey from the classroom to coaching school leaders has fueled her dedication to creating books that inspire children to embrace their unique qualities and dream big.

Alessandra’s love of picture books took root during her years as a teacher in Edgewood, Maryland, where she cherished using stories to teach her students powerful lessons. She often dreamed of one day writing her own books, even dressing up as a children’s book author on school spirit days to show her students that it’s never too late to dream about the future. After years of supporting Title I schools and earning her M.Ed. in “Methods of Teaching At-Risk and Diverse Learners,” Alessandra transitioned to roles that deepened her commitment to advancing educational equity. Today, as a leadership coach in Los Angeles, she helps principals develop collaborative leadership practices, all while rediscovering her own creativity through writing.

Alessandra hopes her books will teach children essential life lessons about emotional regulation, kindness, and self-worth. She believes every child deserves to see themselves reflected in the stories they read and to feel empowered by the messages within. Inspired by everyday moments and her transformative experiences as an educator, Alessandra crafts stories filled with warmth, hope, and joy—reminding children that they are special, capable, and loved.

When she’s not writing, Alessandra enjoys reading, visiting family and friends, and spending time with her partner, Tyler, and their dog, Wesley. A self-proclaimed resourceful crafter, she loves finding creative ways to repurpose everyday items—much to the amusement of her partner. Alessandra is thrilled to share her stories with the world, inspiring young readers to embrace who they are and imagine all they can become.
